Adults and teachers very often forget that students know the Alohomora. While I cannot offer an explanation as to why such a major oversight is always made, I can offer a book that does: The Clearly Obvious Points of Parenting And Why You Don’t Know Them, by me, Gilderoy Lockhart, part of my Life And Lockhart collection.
I can also offer this spell, Obsera, as a way to lock your doors which prevent the use of Alohomora. Spell has been known to backfire and attach the caster’s wand to their hand. Proceed with some sort of caution.
